SOLVIT-iSAR Operational Concept

This conceptual diagram illustrates the data workflow between emergency services (E911/Police) and the SOLVIT-iSAR. It processes base station info and time-series records through three specialized servers— Radio Coverage Analysis, Search Area Inference, and Search & Rescue Support —to deliver real-time location intelligence to field responders via the mobile app. | SOLVIT-BRIDGE saves the lives of individuals lost in radio-shadow areas by significantly reducing primary search areas and enabling fast, reliable search operations using radio-repeating drones. Rescues in such areas often fail due to delays caused by the manual designation of primary search areas and the need to search vast terrain, resulting in the loss of critical golden time. SOLVIT-BRIDGE reduces the size of primary search areas—traditionally designated using legacy methods—by up to 1/25. The designation process is fully automated, delivering results within 10 minutes that would otherwise require up to 3 hours of manual analysis. Search operations are further accelerated through the use of radio-repeating drones, enabling searches 10 to 50 times faster than those using conventional camera drones, and up to 200 times faster than searches conducted by human teams.
