Deacon provided construction services for Trojan Storage of Puyallup II, a 96,352 sf self-storage facility spanning 10 buildings on a 7-acre site. The project involved clearing and grading 4.71 acres while preserving and maintaining existing wetlands throughout construction. Building A featured office space on the first level, a two-bedroom apartment on the second level, and approximately 20 exterior drive-up storage units. Eight smaller buildings ranged from 4,200 to 6,500 square feet, offering a combination of exterior drive-up and interior storage units. Buildings C and F were connected, creating nearly 60,000 square feet of space with both drive-up and interior units. The project also included significant infrastructure improvements, such as the installation of a full forced main sewer system, requiring boring under Meridian Avenue to tie into the main line and providing future connections for neighboring properties. A complete on-site stormwater management system was constructed, routing water to an infiltration pond. Additionally, a fire and domestic water loop was installed, connecting to the water main on Meridian Avenue. Deacon successfully delivered this environmentally conscious and functional storage facility while meeting the client’s goals.
