Motorized Driven Rollers (MDR) are self-powered conveyor rollers designed to move products efficiently from one point to another, offering zero-pressure accumulation without the need for mechanical stops or pneumatics. Powered by 24V brushless DC motors , MDR systems use Run-On-Demand technology to reduce energy consumption—only operating when needed. This leads to noticeable long-term savings during both active operation and idle times. Each zone typically consists of one motorized roller and 5 to 12 rollers connected to the motorized roller via poly-v transmission belts. With eleven gearbox combinations , MDR units deliver a wide range of speeds and a high starting torque of up to 224 in/lbs , making them suitable for diverse applications and load requirements. Controller cards, which manage two zones each, are connected via Ethernet for seamless integration and control. MDR rollers are CE certified , RoHS compliant , and IP54 rated , ensuring reliability across a variety of environments. Roller options include wash-down-ready stainless steel, PVC or UHMWPE coatings, and urethane sleeves available in multiple colors.
