SODICK V-LINE Injection
Two Stage Plunger Injection Molding System Sodick’s Two-Stage Injection System (V-LINE®) is a precision injection technology that separates the plasticizing and injection processes into two completely independent stages. This design eliminates the inconsistency and backflow problems commonly seen in conventional inline screw systems, ensuring accurate and repeatable shot control — especially for micro and high-precision applications. Stage 1: Plasticizing (Metering) Material is melted and metered in a dedicated plasticizing chamber. The screw functions only to melt and measure the resin, without performing injection. Once metering is complete, a precise resin volume is transferred to the injection plunger chamber. Because the screw and plunger are isolated, no backflow occurs during injection, maintaining stable melt density and temperature. Stage 2: Injection A separate plunger unit performs the injection using the metered volume. This plunger movement delivers extremely accurate shot control , capable of repeating micro doses down to milligrams. The system provides fast response and high stability , even with difficult materials such as LSR, high-viscosity resins, or engineering plastics. Key Advantages Precision: Consistent shot-to-shot control, ideal for micro molding or optical/medical parts. Stability: No resin backflow or pressure fluctuation between cycles. Versatility: Handles a wide range of materials and mold configurations, including multi-cavity and hot-runner tools. Energy Efficiency: Optimized thermal and mechanical separation minimizes shear stress and degradation.
