Bundy Refrigeration is a manufacturing and engineering business and a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative heat transfer and fluid carrying cooling system components for the commercial and domestic refrigeration industry. The company has been in business for over 60 years and has manufacturing sites throughout Europe and South America, employing 850 people. In Brazil, the company operates from three production facilities in Curitiba, Pinda and Maracanau. Bundy Brazil’s Curitiba, Pinda and Maracanau plants have steel and capillary tube lines for refrigeration and air conditioning products, and manufacture WOT (Wire on Tube) condensers, door warmers, wrap-around evaporators, helical condensers, forced-draft condensers, and skin condensers. They also produce roll bond evaporators, suction line products, and have semi-automated no-frost lines and three assembly cells, offering customers the best solutions for refrigeration projects. The company is known for its innovation and superior engineering. Recent innovations include a range of maintenance-free Aluminium Wing Tube (AWT) condensers and evaporators that will improve the energy class of commercial refrigerators and reduce running costs by up to 15 per cent. This will be welcomed by end users operating multiple units at a time of high energy prices. Also new on the market from Bundy is a range of filter dryers to keep refrigeration systems clean, and a spark plug electrode for instant ignition of gas burners, independent of ovens and stoves. The drive for innovative solutions within the company continues and Bundy’s engineers have used their cooling system expertise to develop a roll bond panel to cool battery packs for electric cars, coaches, and marine vessels as part of its response to net zero transition.
