From Lube Ranger to Pulse Mobile: 100 Years of Field Service

For 100 years, we’ve engineered durable, field‑ready solutions that keep heavy equipment running. One of the earliest examples was the Lube Ranger , a rugged mobile lubrication system designed to service mining, construction, military and road‑building equipment directly in the field. Equipped with Graco pumps known to outlast the trucks they were mounted on, Lube Ranger vehicles delivered on‑site oil, grease, hydraulic fluid, antifreeze and fuel—ensuring uptime, reducing costly repairs, and proving that effective field maintenance is essential to equipment longevity and profitability. That legacy of reliability, durability and problem‑solving in harsh conditions laid the groundwork for a century of innovation in fluid management. Today, we are bringing that heritage into the connected era with Pulse Mobile , the industry’s first connected, ruggedized fluid management solution built specifically for lube and service trucks. Just as the Lube Ranger brought service capabilities directly to the jobsite, Pulse Mobile brings intelligence to the jobsite—automatically capturing every ounce dispensed and assigning it to the correct asset, work order and service technician. This eliminates manual logs, reduces errors and invoice disputes, and ensures accurate billing while improving accountability in the field. Designed for tough environments, Pulse Mobile features a rugged meter built for extreme conditions and can be installed and configured in a single day. And when paired with Pulse Pro —introduced in 2018 to give shops real‑time visibility into bulk fluids—Pulse Mobile connects shop and field for a single, cloud‑based view of dispensing and inventory across operations . Dealers and fleet owners gain real‑time transparency, reduced waste, streamlined workflows and data they can trust. Then & Now: The Lube Ranger kept critical equipment running through reliable field service. Today, Pulse Mobile brings that same DNA into the digital age—combining our century‑long field expertise with modern connectivity to deliver complete, automated visibility wherever work gets done. Heritage you trust—now fully connected.
